9 carat gold St. Brigids cross pendant. Measurements, 20mm x 20mm.

St.Brigid is the  female patron saint of Ireland.
She had a close relationship with St. Patrick and started a monastery around 470 at Kildare.

The St.Brigid's cross  is traditionally made out of rushes and was hung on the wall of the house to protect it from fire and evil.
