Oxidisation highlights the pattern and gives them character. The process ( which I have limited control over ) gives each ring an individual appearance a grey to black background. You can have a ring without this process, the background will be a gold matt finish.

The Asgard is a 51ft. Gaff rigged yacht,formally owned by Robert Erskine Childers and made famous for its use in the Howth gun running in 1914.Childers his wife and crew made a channell crossing,landed in Howth (north of Dublin) with a boat load of German riffles for the Irish Volunteers in preperation for the 1916 Easter Rising.
